KS A 0011 COLOR CHART.

Go Yoo Han buys the 155A version, but it's basically the same. This is just so that you can get an idea on the color chart, but I particularly love this first picture because you can see the color chart classified in the same way it's described in the novel, from red up to plum (or magenta). And the way it opens up as a fan. To be clear, the second picture, with the squares of color, is something like what Yoo Han first shows Yeon Woo, on the desk (You lift the color squares and the color code is written there). The one from the first picture is the one he shows him on the bed of the nurse's office.

Vocabulary

놈 -> This is a word to refer to a male informally. It could be translated into guy or dude, Yeon Woo uses it with different tones. For example when referring to the rat bastard of chapter one vs. when saying 'what a dude' about Go Yoo Han. The meaning per-se doesn't change, but the context adds the tone to the word. It's also a word commonly used in cursing, but teenage boys' way of speaking, you know? :D

쥐색 -> Shark Gray. Literally, this translates into Mouse Gray, but I like the Drama translation better so I stuck with it, it's the same color tone and both names are used for it.

원회색 -> Dolphin Gray. This is the color most people know as Gray.

은회색 -> Light Gray. This is also a way of saying silver color, but it's a liiiiiittle bit lighter, the difference is contextually noticeable, so I go with light gray for this color.

진회색 -> Charcoal Gray / Dark Gray. I use both ways to refer to the color, choosing according to the context and how it will fit better into the text.

연두 -> I have a daily breakdown about what name to use for this color. Yellow-green, yellowish-green, Green-yellow, or to flat-out just phonologic it and call it yeondu. My brain classifies it as matcha color. This is the color:

Colors used as tolerance -> Color tolerance is a limit set to control acceptance of the difference in color between the sample and the master target. So basically, the degrees in which a color is still considered that color based on depth or intensity. Guys, it has an equation ._. Yoo Han works so hard TT.

If you google color tolerance you will be just as befuddled as I am.

우리: pronounced as 'uri', is used both as our or my, according to context and individual ways of speaking. Koreans usually call children our *name* sort of as a way to show affection or before a compliment. According to what Go Yoo Han says, I switch the translation, but stick mostly with 'my' as he is usually flirting. Well... he's sort of always flirting. LOL.

Extra

*Choi Yeon Woo acrostic poem:

“최.”

“최연우의 환심을 사러.”

“연.”

“연우를 비에 은유하다니.”

“우.”

“우~~~~~”

*Electrical probe:

This is a regular electrical probe, used in mechanics and engineering to measure electric currents by sending a small electrical shock through that needle-like point.

This is an electrical probe for medical use, the concept is the same, a small electrical current is sent through the tip in order to generate a response or create a stimulus. No, it is not stabbed in the brain, it's only placed on top of the target area. STILL. The procedure seems to be quite invasive, particularly in the context of the story, when used for testing on Mono.
